Elin showed a pleasant attitude towards learning. She responded with the discussions eagerly and enthusiastically. She is quite shy at first, however as time passed by she learned to expressed herself with her teacher. She doesn’t need much guidance from her teacher when she is answering the activities from the workbook that she has. When corrected, she is very receptive and responsive.
Elin’s reading skill can be considered as Proficient. The student has fundamental awareness and skills in reading not only few words but also complete sentences. She tend to stutter some words but it is only minimal. She responds happily when corrected. The student responded to that corrections by repeating each unfamiliar words again and again until she became conversant with it.
Elin has an excellent comprehension skills. After reading a certain paragraph, the teacher will give her questions related to what was read. The student can answer it on her own without much assistance of her teacher. When she cannot understand a certain questions, she will asked her teacher right away. This shows a good side of humility on her, not showing an “I-know-it-all” attitude.
SPEAKING AND PRONUNCIATION
Elin’s speaking and pronunciation skills can be considered as Proficient. She can easily express what she wants to say using the English language. She can easily say what she wants to say without much challenge. The only minor impediment to her speaking and pronunciation skills is her minimal vocabulary which can easily be fixed by having vocabulary activities during classes. The kid also has a splendid grasps of English language. She answers questions with complete answers even if the question is only answerable by yes or no.
Elin shows a very pleasant attitude in learning. She is very eager to learn new things and is receptive to corrections. She has a good potential in being the best English speaker at her young age, if she is consistent with her lessons, practicing free talk and reading books to enhance her vocabulary.
Her teacher will still be familiarizing the student with more free talking topics during class to enhance the student’s speaking and understanding skills of English language.
