ATTITUDE

Dan-E presented a nice attitude towards learning. At first, she doesn’t initiate much conversations, yet as time passed by she learned to express herself more openly. In fact, she loves sharing how her day went. Too much assistance from her teacher isn’t much necessary.  She can answer the activities from the workbook that she has on her own. When corrected, she is very amenable and open.

 

READING

Dan-E’s reading skill can be considered as Approaching Proficiency. The student has fundamental awareness and skills in reading not only few words but also complete sentences. At times, she is having challenge with some pronunciations especially when it is involving the phonics -r. However she responds well when corrected and is happy learning new things. The student replied to corrections by reiterating each unfamiliar words again and again until she became acquainted with it.

 

COMPREHENSION

            Dan-E’s comprehension skills is measured as Approaching Proficiency. She do understand lessons and questions given to her. However, there are times that the kids would misunderstood the questions, thus the teacher needs to paraphrase her statements. The good side of this kid’s learning attitude is that, she is open for corrections and does not get irritated by it.

 

SPEAKING AND PRONUNCIATION

            Dan-E’s speaking and pronunciation skills can be considered as Approaching Proficiency. She can express what she wants to say using the English language. As what stated on the previous statements, she loves sharing how her day went. She is so conversational. There are only times that she struggle with her grammar structure. She seldom cannot express what she wants to say. One of the skills she needs to develop is her vocabulary.

 

RECOMMENDATIONS/COMMENTS

            Dan-E demonstrates a very amusing attitude in learning. She is very keen to learn new things and is interested to corrections. To address some of the skills she lacks, she has to be consistent with her lesson and activities that involve additional vocabularies and sentence constructions.

 

FUTURE GOALS

            Her teacher will still be engaging the student with more free talking topics during class, add activities and games that involves vocabulary, sentences constructions and the likes to enhance the student’s speaking and understanding skills of English language.
