Student's Name: Michelle (Min Chae)
Teacher’s Name: Jenny
Book's name: Let’s Go 2 Textbook
Pages: 4-11 (the pages that the student studied for a week)
Michelle has shown great interest in the class. She always showed enthusiasm and very interactive. Her positivity made her more eager to learn. She was able to do things independently after giving instructions and was always focused on every activity that we've had. The teacher is looking forward helping her in every step of the way.
Michelle's reading skills were somewhat good because she can read at an appropriate speed at her level. There are some mispronounced words sometimes due to unfamiliarity but she's ready for corrections. The good thing about her reading skills is that she can read independently and loudly.
Michelle's comprehension skills can be considered as 'Approaching Proficiency'. She has shown a good understanding of the lesson material that we're studying. She can easily answer the exercises without much guidance. It seems like, the lesson material is just very easy for her level.
SPEAKING AND PRONUNCIATION:
Even though Michelle can read independently, her speaking and pronunciation skills can be considered as above developing. She can express her ideas but sometimes having a hard time to do it spontaneously. She can imitate easily what the teacher says for pronunciation corrections. Though her words are clear when speaking.
Her teacher is encouraging her to practice more in reading during her free time and try to converse in English every day even at home for the purposes of practice as well as listening to English conversations or songs. She just needs to keep on going because she's on the right track.
Her teacher will be introducing more activities during class to enhance the student’s speaking, pronunciation, and reading skills.
