Levels of Proficiency
Approaching Proficiency – The student at this level has developed the fundamental knowledge and skills and core understandings and with little guidance from the teacher and/or with some assistance from peers, can transfer these understandings through authentic performance tasks.
•ATTITUDE: Approaching Proficient. Ryan is so adorable and very easy to teach. What I like about his interaction is he looks so innocent but knows the correct asnwers. He often smiles to the teacher.
READING: Developing. What I like about Ryan is when he reads he makes sure that he reads all the words. He may have one sound atleast he si trying to change it with the help of his teacher. He is starting to learn how to use proper intonation especially while having dialogues.
COMPREHENSION: Developing. His comprehension is good, if you ask hi questions that are related to the lesson, like for example situational he knows what will he say. His attentiveness gives him more ideas about the lesson.
SPEAKING AND PRONUNCIATION: Developing. When he speaks sometimes he is used to say word by word so I always teach him how to correct his sentences ang guides him with his sentence construction. He is also talkative sometimes and jolly most of the time. He pronounce the words properly but if there are mispronounce words he can easily be corrected
RECOMMENDATIONS/COMMENTS: I encourage him to be more confident while talking and expressing ideas. I want him to be more familiar with other vocabularies to improve his sentence construction.
FUTURE GOALS: I will give him activities that will lead him to use sentences easily. I will provide more learnings on how to use intonation and correct sounds of the letters. Make him feelconfident in speaking.
