Levels of Proficiency
• Beginning – The student at this level is still struggling with his thoughts in English; but I noticed that he could comprehend to some of the simple sentences that the teacher is giving him.
ATTITUDE: Sam is no longer shy. He is very attentive and gives examples to the topic actively. But I guess the class time is not student friendly since it’s too early so, sometimes he is a bit lazy during this time. But the eagerness to learn is still noticeable.
READING: Beginning. When Sam reads, he is very good because he could pronounce the words correctly but there are some that he is having a hard time. The good thing is that Sam is a fast learner student so, he easily copes with the lessons taught.
COMPREHENSION: He had improved a lot especially by giving examples about the topic. He loves playing English Games, and he also enjoys making his own simple sentences.
SPEAKING AND PRONUNCIATION: Developing. He is now a bit talkative and is talking to the teacher with confidence. He also likes to share stories in his own simple sentences.
RECOMMENDATIONS/COMMENTS: I encourage him to try and speak more in long English sentences for him to improve more.
FUTURE GOALS: I will provide more activities to the lesson for his improvement. And as well as to prepare more English Games to boost his energy in learning the language.
